Maintaining a regular servicing schedule will keep your Car Van lorry or HGV reliable, safe and running to optimum efficiency. A full service history will also help maintain vehicle's value and provide many years of trouble free motoring.

Fast Lane Motors offer a range of services from full service to a simple oil change. Below are full details of each of our servicing options.

Protecting your manufacturer warranty

Fast Lane Motors use auto data software to strictly adhere to the latest manufacturer (warranty dependant) service programmes. This saves you the cost and inconvenience of returning your vehicle to a main dealership for servicing.

Interim Service

If your annual milliage exceededs the recommended book service miliage an interim service will bridge the gap between full services. Fast Lane Motors interim service includes the following:

Pre engine checks
  • Check timing belt
  • Check bodywork, lamps, trims and oil levels
  • Fit protective covers
  • Check operation of interior and exterior lights *
  • Check operation on ABS and airbag warning lights
  • Check windscreen washers and wipers
  • Check horn
  • Apply Forte treatments to remove internal contamination
Under bonnet
  • Check cooling system
  • Check and record Anti-Freeze protection
  • Check and record break fluid condition
  • Check power steering operations and fluid condition
  • Check and top up all under bonnet fluid levels
Vehicle Raised
  • Change oil, filter and fit new sump plug washer
  • Check fuels lines and brake pipes
  • Check the condition of exhaust
  • Check all steering and suspension joints, mountings and gaiters
  • Carry out tyre report
  • Check all wheel bearings
  • Check CV gaiters and joints
  • Check front breaks
  • Carry out break report
Vehicle Lowered
  • Refill engine with specific grade oil
  • Torque wheel nuts/studs
To Finish
  • Road test vehicle
  • Re-check engine oil level
  • Ensure all upholstery gear lever etc are clean
  • Stamp service book(s)

Standard Service

We advise all vehicles undergo a standard service at least once a year. Fast Lane Motors standard service includes everything in our interim service plus the following:

Pre engine checks
  • Check vehicle history
  • Check condition of all seat belts
  • Check air conditioning
  • Check operation of suspension dampers
  • Lubricate all door hinges, locks and bonnet catches
  • Check fuel cap
Under the Bonnet
  • Check all auxiliary drive belts (not timing belt)
  • Check engine breather system
  • Check vacuum pipes
  • Check throttle body
  • Check battery level and lubricate terminals
  • Replace air filter *
  • Replace spark plugs *
  • Replace fuel filter *
  • Replace pollen filter *
Vehicle Raised
  • Check and top up axle and transfer box levels *
  • Check and top up gearbox oil level
  • Check clutch cable/cylinder *
  • Check and top up gearbox oil level
  • Check clutch cable/cylinder *
  • Grease all greasing points *
  • Check operation and condition of rear brakes
Vehicle Lowered
  • Locking wheel nut key location
To Finish
  • Carry out diagnostic check † *
  • Reset service interval indicator *
